Meet our May 2021 Featured Student, Paige Rubakh!
When asked about her experience with languages, Paige wrote: "Learning another language has excited me since I started learning Spanish in just eighth grade. Learning a second language has taught me that language is beautiful and that words are powerful. It has taught me that languages can serve as a bridge between people and cultures, and learning them helps you to cross them. Most importantly, what I have gained more than anything from learning Spanish is my passion for teaching the language and culture to others. As a last year student in UD's Spanish Education program, I can say that I have grown tremendously not only as a Spanish speaker but as an educator. With the abundance of knowledge and support I have received from each member of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, upon graduation, I feel completely prepared to work in the field of foreign language education. I cannot wait to continue my studies at the Graduate level here at UD!ā"
The DLLC congratulates Paige on her graduation and wishes her success in her graduate studies!
