Ariadne J. López is responsible for managing the fiscal affairs of the Department of Languages Literatures and Cultures (LLC) and she serves as the human resources liaison for over 60 faculty and four staff members of the Department. Her responsibilities include office staff supervision, assisting the Chairperson with the operations and management of LLC, and serving as a liaison between the Department and the College of Arts and Sciences, Facilities Management, and Procurement Services.
Ariadne J. López graduated from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez with a B.S. in Business Administration – Organizational Studies and she earned a Master of Business Administration – Management degree from Florida Institute of Technology. For the past 16 years, Ariadne worked at insurance or insurance-related companies, starting at Cigna in 2001 and moving to Cigna International in 2003, where she worked in the Sales & Marketing area before moving to Operations. Her most recent experience was at Health Advocate where she spent five years supervising a team of agents that assisted employees of some of the largest US-based employer groups navigate complex healthcare and insurance-related issues.
