Students who benefit from dynamic courses offered by a dedicated and expert faculty will find the Spanish program at the University of Delaware to be one of the most rewarding and positive linguistic and cultural experiences imaginable. The Spanish program has professors specializing in Game Theory, Politics and Literature, Crime Fictions, Don Quixote, and much, much more!
On campus and through study abroad, master the four language skills – listening, speaking, reading, writing – and immerse yourself in the culture of Latin America and Spain by exploring its rich literature, film, history, politics, economic, and current events.
Students in our program enjoy one of the most diverse study abroad opportunities in the world. We have programs in Spain in Barcelona, Granada, and Salamanca. In Central and South America, programs go to Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and Costa Rica. Students demonstrating excellence in their studies join the Spanish National Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi.
Prepare for graduate study, at the MA or PhD level, or for a career in international business, journalism, translation, editing, marketing, travel, teaching, or many other fields. Expand your world and prepare your future: discover the fascination of the many cultures and countries that speak Spanish!
