Carmen Finnicum is a Spanish Instructor, whose interests include study abroad and service learning. She teaches courses in Elementary/Intermediate Spanish, Conversational Spanish and Spanish Composition and Grammar. In addtition, Professor Finnicum has served as the Teaching Assistant Observer for the Spanish Department. She has also directed or co-directed six study abroad programs to Spain, Costa Rica, Panama and Chile. Currently, she is working on a study abroad program to Argentina.

Professional Activities:

  • Co-presented a workshop on Service-Learning in Study Abroad Programs at the Gulf-South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement at Tulane University in New Orleans and at Belmont University in Nashville.
